RITES Assistant Manager Eligibility Criteria

The applicant should be having full time Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Technology or other recognized Engineering discipline related to design/production i.e. Production, Production & Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical/Railways, Mechatronics & Automobile or combination of the above disciplines.

Experience gained through training other than on-the-job training, vocational training, internship, instruction, academic work, fellowship and PhD research work is not considered. However, apprenticeship training as per the various provisions of the Apprentices Act, 1961.

Against unreserved posts UR/EWS candidates and some reservation-category candidates qualifying against UR vacancies require a first-class or a minimum of 60% grade, in their minimum qualification. Candidates claiming against reservation seats in a particular reservation category should have a minimum of 50% grade in their minimum qualification to be eligible.

RITES Assistant Manager Age Limit 2026

Maximum Age of RITES Assistant Manager Recruitment 2026 is 32 Years, Age limit is calculated as on 17th August 2026. Candidates eligible for age relaxation are entitled as per rules. The notification gives 5 years relaxation for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC-NCL and 10 years relaxation for PwBD candidates, with further category relaxations where applicable. Ex-servicemen as well as eligible J&K domicile candidates can also get relaxations under the prescribed rules. RITES employees, whether regular or on contract, who fulfill the qualification and experience requirements get an extra five-year relaxation in age.

RITES Assistant Manager (Mechanical) Salary

The selected candidates will be hired in the pay scale of 40,000-1,40,000. As per the notification the selected candidates will get relevant allowances, Performance Related Pay, medical facilities, HRA or lease accommodation, Retirement related benefits as per company rules. The first appointment will be on probation for a period of one year. As per requirement of RITES, the successful candidates may be posted anywhere in India or abroad.

RITES Assistant Manager Selection Process

1. The selection process includes a Written Test, Document Scrutiny and Interview.
2. The written examination will consist of 125 objective-type questions, carrying one mark each, with a duration of 2.5 hours. There is no negative marking for incorrect answers. PwBD candidates are eligible for 50 minutes of compensatory time.
3. Candidates who qualify in the written examination will be considered for document scrutiny. Based on written-test performance and the number of vacancies, shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview after verification of original documents.
4. Candidates are called for interview in a ratio of 1:6 against the number of vacancies. The final selection process gives 60% weightage to the written test and 40% to the interview. The interview component includes Technical & Professional Proficiency and Personality, Communication & Competency assessment.
